WATER USE LICENCE APPLICATION REPORT
Distell Limited proposes the expansion of the existing approved Wastewater Treatment Plant and the development of a juice manufacturing plant on Portion 20 of Erf 245 and the expansion of the existing warehouse on Erf 261 in Nuffield, Springs in Ekurhuleni.
An application has been submitted for a water use licence in terms of sections 39 and 40 of the National Water Act, 1998, for water uses in terms of sections 21(c) and (i) of the Act.
A public participation process will commence on Friday, 25 February 2022. Interested and affected parties (I&APs) are invited to comment or to register for further updates. The draft Water Use Licence Application Report is available for download below or in hard copy at the Distell Springs site or on request from the Environmental Assessment Practitioner at the details below. When registering or commenting, I&APs must provide their name and contact details. The 60-day registration and commenting period for the WULA report will end on Tuesday 03 May 2022.
