Proposed Realignment of Protea Road, Klapmuts, Western Cape 

The Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning (DEA&DP) has granted Environmental Authorisation for the proposed realignment and upgrade of Protea Road (DR01098) between Groenfontein Road and the R44 (MR27) in Klapmuts North in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 and the 2014 Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (as amended). 

The environmental authorisation is dated 17 August 2026 and was issued on 17 August 2026.
